5-day ACTING WORKSHOP for STAGE and SCREEN.
Rolling... and ACTION! Join us for an unforgettable five-day adventure where students will step into the world of acting and immerse themselves in live theatre, film acting and film making. Students will study acting and voice technique and learn the fundamental stagecraft skills, healthy vocal projection and diction needed for powerful stage performances. This workshop will also allow studenst to dive into the world of film in a very practical way! We will be learning about shots, film set ettitquette, and how to work with a camera (both in front and behind) on day one through shooing self-tapes, monologues or scenes from popular movies or shows. The students will then work in small groups to shoot a short film. Students will be actors in their own short film and also step into a crew role - directing, assistant director, slating, sound, lighting and script supervisor.
This program has been developed by Industry Professionals as an introduction to both the theatre and film world! This holiday workshop is predominantly designed for teens interested in the acting, theatre and movie-making industries. We recommend students be ages 9+.
