SPLC Drama Club | Wednesday Grade 1/2's (Term 3)

Imagination. Communication. Confidence.

SPLC Drama Club is a joyful introduction to the world of acting, creativity and collaboration for students in Grade 1 and 2 at St Peters Lutheran College Indooroopilly.

Through games, storytelling, and improvisation, students will explore how to use their bodies, voices and ideas to bring characters to life — all while building confidence, communication skills and friendships in a warm and supportive environment.

Welcome to SPLC Drama Club — where young imaginations are celebrated and every student feels part of the story.

Our teaching team brings a caring, creative approach to every class. We balance structured learning with spontaneous fun to ensure that even our youngest performers feel seen, supported and proud of what they create.

Term 3 Program Details

When: Wednesdays, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Where: Lower Level of the CLI, SPLC Indooroopilly
Term 3 Dates: 23rd July – 10th September 2025
Cost: $420 (for the 7-week term)
Trial Classes: $60 (available in Weeks 1–3)

Students will be collected from the Lower Primary Music Room at 3:00 PM and walked to the CLI by their teachers. Pick-up will be from the CLI Lower Level at 4:30 PM. A map will be provided before Week 1.

No classes will be held on 13th August due to the EKKA Show Day.

What Will Students Do in SPLC Drama Club?

This term’s focus includes:
– Exploring imagination through storytelling and role-play
– Improvisation games to support quick thinking and confidence
– Character-building through movement and voice
– Collaborating in small groups to create short scenes
– Learning performance basics in a fun, low-pressure setting

Each session is designed to help students build foundational acting skills while encouraging kindness, teamwork and creative expression.

Who is this class for?

Whether your child is already brimming with stories or just beginning to find their voice, this class is a safe, supportive space to grow.

Students don’t need any prior experience — just curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to join in. Every voice matters here.

Parents and families are invited to a relaxed in-class showcase during the final 10–20 minutes of class on Wednesday 10th September.
