SPLC Drama Club | Tuesday Grade 5/6's (Term 3)

Confidence. Communication. Performance.

This program is designed for Year 5 and 6 students at St Peters Lutheran College Indooroopilly who are ready to grow their acting skills, build confidence in public speaking, and collaborate creatively in a performance setting.

Through drama games, movement, improvisation and script work, students will develop their storytelling abilities, strengthen their stage presence, and learn to work as an ensemble. Whether they’re brand new to drama or returning for another term, this class offers a welcoming space to build skills and take creative risks.

Our teaching team brings professional performance experience and real-world creativity to every session, while always keeping confidence and student wellbeing at the centre.

Term 3 Program Details

When: Tuesdays, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: PAC Drama Rooms, SPLC Indooroopilly
Term 3 Dates: 22nd July – 9th September 2025
Cost: $600 (for the 8-week term)
Trial Classes: $75 (available in Weeks 1–3)

What Will Students Do in SPLC Drama Club?

This term’s focus includes:
– Building physicality and stage presence
– Working with scripts to develop voice, clarity, and expression
– Character development using body and voice
– Collaborating in small groups to create original or adapted performance pieces
– Improvisation and storytelling to support quick thinking and creative growth

Every session is a mix of fun, technique and practical rehearsal — with students working towards a performance in the final week of term and contributing to our Book Week performance project.

Who is this class for?

This class is open to Grade 5 and 6 students enrolled at St Peters Lutheran College Indooroopilly. Students don’t need prior drama experience — just a willingness to give it a go and collaborate with others.

We create a space where mistakes are part of the process, every voice matters, and students feel proud of the progress they make week by week.

Showcase

Parents and families are invited to a relaxed in-class showcase during the final 10–20 minutes of class on Tuesday 9th September.
