Teens & Young Adults Musical Theatre (Term 3) - Esk

Confidence. Creativity. Stagecraft.

This class is designed for students aged 13 and up who are passionate about singing, acting and performing. It’s a space to develop skills in musical theatre while growing confidence, collaboration and artistic expression in a supportive, energising environment.

Students will explore acting, voice technique, movement, and stagecraft while working on songs, scripts and choreography from both screen and stage. Every lesson encourages students to take creative risks, dive into character work, and find their unique voice as a performer.

Led by industry-experienced instructors, this class blends individual coaching with ensemble work, giving students practical tools to develop their craft while feeling seen, supported and challenged.

Term 3 Program Details

When: Wednesdays, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Where: Somerset Civic Centre
Term 3 Dates: 23rd July – 10th September 2025
Cost: $266 (for the 7-week term)
Trial Classes: $38 (available in Weeks 1–3)

No classes will be held on 13th August due to the Brisbane EKKA Show Day

What Will Students Do in Musical Theatre?

This term’s focus includes:
– Acting and singing technique for more complex material
– Vocal training and healthy breathing techniques
– Character creation and emotional storytelling
– Working with songs and scripts from musical theatre, pop, film and stage
– Movement and choreography to enhance performance
– Improvisation and drama games to strengthen creativity
– Blocking and performance storytelling
– Group numbers and ensemble performance
– Industry insight for those interested in creative careers

Students work at their own pace, with guidance tailored to their experience and goals. Every session is designed to help them explore the craft of performance while having fun and connecting with like-minded creatives.

Who is this class for?

This class is open to students aged 13+ who want to explore or extend their skills in musical theatre. Whether your teen is preparing for auditions, exploring creative careers, or just loves to perform — this class offers tools, mentorship, and a sense of belonging.

All experience levels are welcome.

Showcase
Parents and families are invited to a relaxed in-class showcase during the final 10–20 minutes of class on Wednesday 10th September.
